My dd is weak in Math and I'm trying to figure out how to help her. I've researched the Kumon program and have mixed feelings from what I've read. If you've tried Kumon, has it helped your highschooler? How many years did you use it? I'm wondering if it would make more sense to hire a tutor to focus on areas that she needs help in rather than her spending a lot of time doing Kumon worksheets.
Thanks for any insight you can give based on your experience.

Thanks for these great suggestions. The recipe looks yummy!
As for miso, would I use red or white miso to make a soup....or doesn't it matter?
Any recipe for vegetarian Chinese dumplings? Particularly, one that you've tried and your family likes?
Thanks.

I have some vegetarian kids that are down with colds, low energy and fever. I'm very familiar with the healing properties of chicken noodle soup. Is there anything comparable for vegetarians?
Thanks.

I am familiar with the Milton, PA region. Homeschooling in PA isn't that bad.
There is a co-op in the Lewisburg area and also one in the Williamsport area that are quite active.
It is accurate to say that Milton is economically depressed, though it is not far from Lewisburg which has a totally different feel. At one time Lewisburg was rated as one of the best small towns in America.

What kind of chair would you recommend for someone with back problems?

The American Chiropractic Association endorses the Ekornes Stressless chair. It has great lumbar support and is very comfortable.
