And then there was the guy in Virginia who said to his friend “hold my beer.” He shot a firecracker off the top of his head. Last beer ever. Last everything ever.

So sorry. Healing energy to you and yours.

Whoa! So glad your bladder woke you! Thanks for the life-saving reminder!

Did you see the solar flare confirmed? I’ve only seen speculation so far.
Yes. In the article I can’t find again…

Solar flare affecting radio and other communications. Saw a news article just a few minutes ago, can’t find it again, and now watching for another confirming news report.

So sorry to hear this. Prayers for his loved ones.

If you go out and buy a manual can opener, try it out when you get home. We had duds until we finally found one that worked. This one worked for us. YMMV

Definitely right!

My most recent S&S was delayed by a week due to “weather issues.”

I didn’t have to write one either. I don’t think that was a thing 48 years ago.

Zoom maybe?

Also, host would be upset if you got her soon-to-be in-laws sick!

My 2 cents: stay home! Mention Covid exposure and that half of you are sick.

I hope there is chocolate in your immediate future.

My spouse brings me coffee in bed first thing in the morning.

Never, have I ever… Same goes with my spouse and DS. Crossing fingers now…

I was going to say asparagus. But since that’s not it … Go ahead and get the otc test strips. But also drink tons of water and get it checked out. Unfortunately, you can’t ignore UTIs. (Frequent flyer here on UTIs.)

This reminds me of my primary school confusion. We always called it a "bathroom" at home, but at school, it was the "washroom." The term "bathroom" was not acceptable at school. But then at high school, it was "restroom." Whatever, I usually wasn't primarily going there to bathe, wash, or rest, but there's always the word police.
My older-than-dirt 6th grade teacher (in 1969) called it a “lavatory.” And now you know I’m older-than-dirt.

We’re potentially dealing with the same question on the college level (if DS actually gets up the nerve to ask the young woman).

Our DS started losing hair when he was 19 (he turns 21 soon). He’s totally freaked, of course, and is sure no one will ever date him, much less marry him.
We haven’t gone to a dermatologist, but maybe we should. You might try biotin shampoo. I’m not convinced it does any good, but it makes him feel better. Also, there are biotin supplements.

Our travel agent knew where the best rooms were. You don’t want to have your view obstructed by an evacuation boat, nor do you want a room above or below where a band is playing. Ditto re avoiding rooms by the elevator.

We retired to a small mountain town in NC and love it. Great music, purple politics, half a dozen friends we’ve known and loved for 40 years, nearby colleges, and a strong social justice community.
