  1. I agree with the old comments. I went in to see my dr at 26 yrs old and he informed me that my period had changed ( I went to see him because I wasn't having a period and I should been having one) and to get used to it because it is old. I was like what....old??? Um am only 26!!
  2. 24, to me after 30 would be to much for me. (I had a hysterectomy in Dec 2010 at the age of 27 so we are done) My mom was 40 and loves it. For me I am glad we are done with having all four by the time I was 24, and for the curious I was 19 when I had my first ;) and there is twins in there too!
  3. I delivered at 38 wks. They were identical and shared a placenta so that is one complication :) but they did great. They weighed 6lbs 1oz and 6lbs 5oz and both 18 inches long. Healthy as can be and we went home 24 hrs later. They were vaginally delivered and 8 mins apart. I never had any complications but I stuck with a min of 1 gal of water a day and had 150g of protein a day (I started at 16 wks, when we found out we were having twins which I believe helps with the growth). I got 100g from protein drinks though out the day. I have a friend that was doing 150g of protein drinks and then another 25-50g of protein from other sources but I have heard this is to much protein. Her twins were fraternal and each had their own placenta so they grow bigger being they dont have to share. Her boys came out 8lbs 10oz and 7lbs 7oz. I never had any complications but I did end up on modified bedrest since I was starting to dilate at 30 wks. By the time I hit 37 wks I was 100% effaced and dilated at 5cm and still wasnt in labor and went another week. 3 wks before I delivered my waist was measuring at 63"
  4. I am wanting to combine out boys too. They are going to be 2nd and 3rd grade with their twin brothers doing preschool work and I would like to have them join in on the group discussions with the older two. We did SOTW and WTM science this year too.
  5. I am interested in why so many people don't like CLEs SS or science. I havent had a chance to look at it yet but I was thinking I love the idea of everything being the same company....this year I choose and picked everything and I dont want to do that next year since I am adding our twins to the mix of homeschooling. I am looking at apologia and a few others but just not sure yet.
  6. Yes that is true but I knew this was my debt and I needed to pay it but I could not of paid the whole amount. But never make arrangements to pay them payment either. After we settled on that 30% I got a call a week later wanting the rest. I told the lady that I had settle and do not call me about this again. She said on the phone oh yeah you are right and I will update your account for the 2nd time stating this. So yes they do want to get every penny and yes they do pay pennies on the dollar so I don't feel bad for paying less then owed. I think if it is a credit card they really can't come after you but if you make agreement to pay them they can. DON'T LET THEM BULLY YOU!!!
  7. I was told they are not aloud to call before 8am and after 9pm. If they are told not to call a certain phone number--work, cell, etc. they are to stop calling that number or it is considered harassment but they do need one number to at least call. I had one debt collection call us and I had to deal with them but I told them this is all I can do which was 30% of the bill and they refused so I said I can't help you and they eventually 6 month later called and was willing to work with. I just kept telling them over the phone that I can't pay more then that and that is all I had to pay them. With a Credit Card it is considered a unsecured debt and there really isn't a lot they can do to you except hurt your credit. The statue of limitation might be up too so you might check there.
  8. Thank you all for your information!!! Not sure but I think we might do Zoo 1 or Astronomy. Astronomy might be better for the fall for sure.
  9. I think I have the Around the World in 180 Days, I didn't know it was by Apologia (I haven't looked at). Would this work for a 2nd and 3rd grader next year? And I have the 2 books (I think) what else do you need?
  10. I have a 1st and 2nd grader and am thinking about using it for science. Where do you start and what is a necessity when you buy it?
  11. Thank you!!! I think that I will stay with CLE. I am thinking it is a good fit for us :) Any inside helpful tips for CLE are greatly appreciated.
  12. Konos? I read the site but I guess I am looking for what is all in it and how someone else used it and what they thought of it. Also if anyone uses CLE how do you use it in your schedule? What your weeks look like?
  13. Here is one that we use. http://www.superteacherworksheets.com/spelling-level-b.html
  14. My one son is not doing so well in Reading. We are looking at doing CLE next year if not sooner. He will be going into 2nd grade but when I gave him the placement he is 1st grade for CLE. I am looking at the curriculum and we will do Reading 1 but I am wondering if he might need Learning To Read. For those of you that have used it would you say that Learning to Read would be worth it? When I look at CLE and what my boys have learned PS wise I think our PS runs about a year behind CLE. My almost 3rd grader (PS) would be more like 2nd grade CLE. Does that sound like what some have dealt with when trying to place a child in CLE after PS?
