We used them in middle school. DD enjoyed them but it was years ago now. I believe you could get by with just the teachers manual but we did have both at the time. We also just skip or watch a video about experiments we can’t do at home. Never seen Wiles stuff

HQ is secular

My DD is entering twelfth grade next year. She is concerned about her academic writing for when she goes to college. She has studied logic and rhetoric, but has not had a formal writing class. We’ve just been working on it at home using the resources recommended in the WTM book. She’s taken two college courses and done very well, but they were not writing-heavy classes. Can anyone suggest a one-year writing course to help her feel more prepared for college writing? It’s fine if it doesn’t start at the very beginning because she has actually done a fair amount of writing papers already.
