  1. Yes, I use the 1 part soda:6 parts corn starch:3 parts coconut oil. I heat it a little so the oil melts and is easier to mix. Then I put it in an old deodorant container and let it harden back up in the fridge for a little while. I then just roll it on like normal.

But if I didn't have a deodorant shell, I might try a baby food jar or something similar. Maybe even a small canning jar. You probably would have to apply it with your finger then.

In the winter your house may be cool enough to keep the coconut oil solid, but it liquifies somewhere in the 70-80 degree range, so it just depends on your climate.

  2. The problem with sizing is that it really has more to do with your shoulder to top of hip measurement than your overall height and weight. With you be so short-waisted, I'd guess you wear at least 1-2 sizes smaller than it says. I am also short waisted, about 5'7" and 150 some odd pounds, and wear a size 2 in a hotsling (the smallest was a 1), so I'd still be a little leary in the sizing. Oh, and I also have hefty milk producers on top especially right after having a baby, that factors in too. And, if you don't like the maya, this pretty much behaves the same way. I do love a good hip carry in a ring sling later, but find I can't kangaroo (baby facing out) at all cause my babies are way to chubby and I'm way too short waisted.

  3. Cake mix bars are always a favorite here.

1 box cake mix (whatever kind, for yellow flavors I really like Betty Crocker Golden vanilla)

    1/3 cup oil

    2 eggs

Mix all that together then add in something like chocolate/peanut butter chips, coconut, a little oats, nuts, whatever! Throw it in a 9x13 pan and bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes? Maybe more, can't quite remember, you know, till they are done!

  4. These are some of our favorites from my blog:

I'd encourage trying the baked oatmeal and different varieties of breakfast cookies. I don't really do the soaking thing from NT though (although the baked oatmeal is refrigerated overnight with yogurt in the mix so maybe that would count?). My kids eat all those things though. Another favorite is the banana muffins from http://heavenlyhomemakers.com/
