Lori D.
If I were to use the "penny candy" book for Economics...along with the study guide, what else would I need to do/use for a decent complete 1/2 credit course? Just my opinion, but... a lot. ;) Penny Candy is written at a middle school level, and even with doing all of the guide, will not give you more than about 10-15 hours of time towards credit hours (60-75 hours for a 0.5 credit) , and it covers only part of what a typical 0.5 credit high school Economics course covers. I'd suggest something like the Teaching Company Great Courses: Economics as your spine, and then enjoy Penny Candy as a supplement. That's still light on time, but the lecture series covers all of the Micro and Macro Economics topics encountered in a high school course. This course is secular. Another option is Economics in a Box, which actually uses Penny Candy as one of the resources. This program is from a Christian perspective. Edited September 30, 2016 by Lori D.
