Moxie
I have some 3-5yo coming to decorate cookies tomorrow. We basically attaching candy and sprinkles to cookies. Can I just mix powdered sugar and milk for the icing?
Jann in TX
Yes-- optinal to add a few drops of vanilla and a dash of salt (it cuts the overly sweet taste). I like to put a tsp of melted butter, a cup or two of powdered sugar, splash of vanilla, dash of salt and then tsp of milk as needed to make spreadable. monstermama
Mine's similar to Jann's - 2 cups powdered sugar, a tablespoon of milk, and a teaspoon of vanilla extract to start out with, then add a teaspoon of milk at a time until it's the right consistency (usually ends up being about 2 tablespoons total).
