TwoEdgedSword
Does anyone use the Sleep Cycle App? We have it on our iPod Touch, so it's not an iPhone. I'm not sure if that matters at all. I'm concerned about its safety given how close to your head or body it is supposed to be to monitor your night movements. My daughter thinks it helps her by waking her up in a lighter phase of sleep. For health reasons, I'm not crazy about it being so close to her for 9 hours. I'm not super techy. I'm not worried about her IMing or surfing web while we sleep either. Catwoman
I have no idea, but I'll give your thread a bump in the hope that someone will have an answer for you. :)
ILiveInFlipFlops
Is it the radiation you're worried about? Does the app need an internet connection to do its job? If not, she can put it in airplane mode, and that will mitigate the radiation risk while she sleeps. http://www.preventcancernow.ca/11-ways-to-use-your-cell-phone-safely
TwoEdgedSword
Thanks Catwoman and thanks for the link NowWeAreFour. Radiation would be my biggest concern. I see some studies are being done on EMF impact. I'm not sure how much of a role that plays. I think as much as she likes using the app, she'd be better off without it. She says she had a great sleep last night and that the app woke her at just the right time. But I reminded her that if she gets to bed earlier, her body may start actually waking her on it's own when she is rested.
