fourcatmom
I love TOG but I do not have the funds to buy it right now and it was my plan for my 8th grader who loves History. I can order something through our charter but of course it has to be secular. I have STOW books, some living books on order to go with this year and the Modern History Portfolio coming as well. The plan was Early American History which would have been Year 3 of TOG. Is there anything that would work in bringing all these together? She loves History, loves drawing maps and enjoys the reading. I have a map drawing program I can add so I am not really worried about that but I would love some kind of overall plan that can bring together what I have but also offer more. We love all the choices in TOG! Any suggestions? I don't want to change but I just can't fit it into the budget right now and she needs something next month. TIA! prairiewindmomma
What about this: http://bfbooks.com/E-A-and-World-History-Jr-High-Pack OR http://www.sonlight.com/core-100.html (will they buy just the secular parts?) OR Hakim History of US + Hewitt syllabus + https://www.hewitthomeschooling.com/Junior/jSrchGrade.aspx?s=LA&g=8 Throw in an art spine as well.
