Renthead Mommy
Apparently the 8yo decided we were having a christmas party. Sure why not. It's three sisters, another little girl and then another little boy. Easy. I figure I'll bake some cookies, let them decorate them, play some kid xmas music and make an ornament. Anyone have an ornament craft suggestions? Maybe some kind of cookie kind? What about the stain glass cookie ornaments? Something about broken lollipops melted in the cut out center? How long do the applesauce cinnamon ones take to dry? Can you put them in the oven to speed it up? What about a dehydrator? Suggestions please? Carol in Cal.
Instead of an ornament, how about some cards? You can dip cookie cutters in glue--try it first, you may need to dilute it one to one with water--stamp them on paper, and then pour glitter on it gently. Shake off the glitter and you have glitter shapes on the card. Or you can get those two piece plastic or glass ornaments and fill them with colored pipe cleaners wound into spirals or little stars. Pom poms are also nice. Mix in a little Christmas confetti. Instant ornament! The classic is 5 pointed stars made from popsicle sticks.
