HollyVanH
Hi Everyone, I'm a homeschool Mom who taught freshman writing at USC for over a decade before I began homeschooling my own girls (ages 8 and 11). I've been writing a series of posts on my blog about how to get homeschoolers excited about writing. Today's entry contains lots of practical, everyday activities for kids and teens:http://www.knittedthoughts.com/2010/11/express-yourself-writing-with-kids.html Hope you find it helpful :) Holly Edited November 8, 2010 by HollyVanH add tags
unsinkable
Holly, I popped over and read your latest blog post. I liked it! I have a teen DD with learning issues due to epilepsy. She loves to write fan fiction. She started about 2 years ago. But before that, she was a reluctant writer and had a hard time with spelling, mechanics, usage, and some grammar topics. She improved vastly in these problem areas once she started writing her own fiction. It truly is a wonderful thing! Welcome to the boards!
