H.S. Burrow
Has anyone used Word Smart Software for SAT/ACT test prep? If you have, could you please share your thoughts and/or experiences? Thanks!

Mom0012
I'm not using it for test prep, but I am using it with my 11 year old to boost his vocabulary in order to help with his reading skills. He really enjoys using it. I will say, he has flown through the first few cds. There aren't as many words on there as they lead you to believe there are. I also would never, never buy directly from Wordsmart. You can buy a new set on e-bay for a fraction of the price and the risk of buying there isn't any worse than buying from Wordsmart because their customer service is terrible. Lisa Just to make sure that I understand, you are using their SAT/ACT Test prep and not their grade level vocabulary program with your 11 year old? Thanks for your response. :)

Thanks for your response. :) No, no. I am using the Wordsmart Vocabulary program. I didn't even realize they had an SAT/ACT prep. I just thought you were asking about using the vocab program, since it is supposed to take you to college level, to improve in this area for the SAT/ACT. Sorry! dands
They are both the same for the vocabulary. In the case of the SAT/ACT you would use only Vocabulary Volumes C-F and ofcourse you would have to add the SAT Math . For the GRE/GMAT you would use Vocabulary Volumes E-J.
