Guest jfpdvm
Hi, Can anyone help me figure out the economic courses that Thinkwell offers? It appears that Sonlight's economics that uses Thinkwell is using Thinkwell's economics course that is listed under student available courses on their web site. Thinkwell also lists the macroeconomics and microeconomics courses under the student list of courses available. Through the homeschool buyers co-op Thinkwell's micro and macro economics are both available, but each is a semester class. The course listed as just economics is not offered. Does anyone have experience with any of these courses? What would be best for AP prep? Thanks, Judy
OLG
Let's see if this helps any! Micro and Macro are two parts of a complete Principles of Econ course at the college level. I might be mistaken but I think the only Econ AP you can take now is Macro. Sorry but I am not familiar with Sonlight. Mary
jenberly
Hello, I know this thread is old but this is just what i'm researching now because HS Buyers co-op is offering THINKWELL programs up to 50% off through 11:59PM tonight. I can give some links but I'm still fresh on this topic. However, there are two separate AP Tests, AP Macroeconomics AP Microeconomics Course Descriptions of both AP Tests (some AP tests were revised but not these) http://apcentral.collegeboard.com/apc/public/repository/ap08_economics_coursedesc.pdf Macro http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/ap/economics_macro/samp.html?macro Micro http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/ap/sub_miceco.html?micro So now, if you go to Thinkwell's website (make sure you go to thinkwellhomeschool which has the links to lessonplans as well as the course description) and check their course descriptions, you can line up the AP with Thinkwell, compare and decide what is best! Thinkwell Economics http://www.thinkwellhomeschool.com/products/economics Thinkwell Macroeconomics http://www.thinkwellhomeschool.com/products/macroeconomics Thinkwell Microeconomics http://www.thinkwellhomeschool.com/products/microeconomics Hope this helps someone and hope I can figure this out before midnight =) Jen
