Questions about Spielvogel's Human Odyssey and the AP or SAT II tests.

Hello, I just ordered this for my 10th grader. I was wondering if any of you used this and took the AP or SATII World History test. Did this book prepare you for these tests?

I just wrote a response, but it was about Spielvogels Western Civ text, not HO. So I deleted it all!

But isn't Western Civ the recommended AP text, not Human Odyssey?

Human Odyssey because it was a better fit for my middle daughter last year, who was only in 7th grade.

 

I think Human Odyssey is a good high school level world history text, but I would place Western Civilization as an AP book, not HO.

Human Odyssey is a high school text and may be fine for SAT II. We used it but did not take any SAT II tests (not needed at schools ds looked at).

 

Spielvogel's Western Civilization is a common text used for AP European History, not AP World History.

 

Spielvogel and Duiker World History would most likely be a text used for AP World and probably fine for SAT II.
