joni470
We went on a camping trip this weekend and I am always happily surprised at how much fun kids get out of this. We have a traditional breakfast that my husband makes called Campfire Eggs. They will probably kill us due to the amount of fat in them but we make them anyway. And we do the usual smores and hot cocoa. I heard some new fun ideas for camping while talking to others at the campsite. I am interested in hearing more. Do you have camping traditions? If you don't what do you remember of camping as a child? I know we'll be camping again soon. It is so much fun for so little money. Great memories. -Savannah http://www.hammocktracks.com
Carrie12345
We liked to do Jungle Breakfast as a Girl Scout troop and as a family. We'd buy those mini boxes of cereal and miscellaneous fruit, then an adult would tie them to random tree branches before we woke up, and we'd "forage" for our meal, lol. Mountain pie makers are the greatest tool (not sure if they have a "real" name, but they're square sandwich makers for the fire). We could do eggs and toast, pizza pockets or apple pies in there. Anything you can stick between two pieces of bread, we have! My family always had Rummikube on hand since tiles can't be taken by the wind like cards can.
