SpecialClassical
I am sure I read about an online service for algebra practice, but I cannot find that post. Maybe I am searching the wrong threads, but if anyone knows what this was, I would appreciate the info. Thank you.

AngieW in Texas
Mindsprinting has math up to Algebra II and is free. It isn't done online though. You do a diagnostic test to determine your starting level and then it will generate worksheets for you. After each worksheet, you enter your score (answer keys are online) and then it will determine which worksheet you need to do next. http://www.algebra.com/ looks like a nice resource and it's free. http://www.algebra-class.com/ is also free and looks quite nice. http://www.themathpage.com/alg/algebra.htm'>http://www.themathpage.com/alg/algebra.htm'>http://www.themathpage.com/alg/algebra.htm'>http://www.themathpage.com/alg/algebra.htm With this program, running your mouse over the colored areas reveals the answers. http://www.themathpage.com/alg/algebra.htm http://www.emathematics.net/

Julie in MN
This probably wasn't it, but I just found these cool "virtual manipulatives" for seeing what you're doing in algebra - love the balance scales! http://nlvm.usu.edu/EN/NAV/VLIBRARY.HTML

SpecialClassical
Thank you very much. I've added many that you all have suggested to my favorites. The one I was thinking of cost a small fee per student and I thought it was a drill type program that helped students solidify the basics of algebra. My son is going into Algebra 1 with a tutor once a week and I think this would help him get ready in the next few weeks and help him maintain his knowledge. Thanks again.
