Heidi @ Mt Hope
say, when a 2 yo has obliterated a piece of toast in it? And by extension, how do you get rid of burnt smell in the rest of the house?
swellmomma
When I clean my microwave I put a bowl of water in it with some lemon slices then turn it on for 5 minutes. WHen the timer rings I leave it for another 5-10 minutes. It leaves the microwave smelling lemon fresh (and makes the cleaning only take a couple wipes). On the occasions my house had a burnt smell(typically from actual fire not burnt toast), I put out small dishes of vinegar in various places around the house. WIthin 24 hours the house has lost all of that burnt smell.
