Kristen in NC
I was thinking about using Life of Fred Fractions and LOF Decimals for my son next year after he finishes Singapore 6B. Would that be too much of a review? I don't know if he should start Algebra in the 6th grade.

East Coast Sue
Life of Fred is entertaining and challenging. There are many word problems and opportunities to think up interesting & challenging problems to solve. It has been an engaging and thought provoking study for my dd. I think you'll find it worthwhile but it might only take a few months to go through both books. Of course, you can set the pace to make it last longer but my dd was so hooked on the book that she has really breezed through it. It isn't an ordinary math book by any means.
