KIN
I was planning to do NOEO physics 1 next year and felt that would be enough for my 4th grader. But, I got NOEO biology 1 for a song used so I'd like to use that. I think my 4th grader should do a bit "more" than it requires, any ideas? King Alfred Academy
Maybe have him write in depth reports on the topic or create some sort of display board with drawings or pictures he has taken. What about reading a "living book" associated with the topic or scientist. I know that yesterdaysclassics.com has a lot of great books for science. What about something like this: #1. When you are studying weather, have him write a report tornadoes or how the weather balloon was invented. #2. Have him give a presentation about Louis Pasteur in the first person. Same with James Audubon. #3. Animals...choose an animal and report on it. #4. Create a diorama of the habitats studied. I hope this helps a little.
