Deb Posted August 6, 2022 Share Posted August 6, 2022 Hi, Our private PreK-6th Catholic school adopted SOTW last year. This year we are breaking down the area by grades. I teach first, so I am doing all about Greeks. My question...is there a generic template explaining what STOW is to parents? the benefits? I know I can put one together, but don't want to reinvent the wheel if someone already has one and is kind enough to share and I can tweak. Any info is appreciated. HomeAgain Posted August 7, 2022 Share Posted August 7, 2022 I don't quite understand. Are you saying you are teaching only Greek history in 1st grade? An overview of the neo-classical approach to the subject can be found in the Well Trained Mind book. I think it would be more helpful to explain to parents this as well as what the foundational skills that are taught in the lower grades will become later.
