I bought the jars through my Azure Standard co-op, and the lids were on back-order. Now I find out that they're not being made anymore. I really want to be able to use my gallon jars. (I guess you buy the silicon, make so sort of mold, and bake it so it retains the shape??) Well, if a person can buy those supplies, maybe it is possible to MAKE your own rubber lids? You might google it, or look on youtube, or on instructables, or ehow.com. Just an idea.... I have no experience with glass milk bottles.... Good luck! KS_ Posted December 5, 2008 Share Posted December 5, 2008 I'm not sure where to buy just lids, but I bought a couple gallons of pickles at Sam's Club just for the jars (my kids do like pickles, but they were under $4 when I bought them, and I thought that was a good deal).
