bluebonnetgirl Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 Has anyone's teen taken HSLDA's online course Dale Carnegie's Communication & Interpersonal Skills for Success? If so, what did you think of it? https://academy.hslda.org/business-economics-courses Quote

But, I've visited similar courses, and some tips I've heard are very useful. To my mind, if there is the possibility of visiting the course, it's reasonable to do it. Quote
TomMr Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 (edited) Well, I think that I can insert my five cents and share the experience of attending such courses. First of all, everyone should understand that after visiting this course, you won't become superb in communication, getting new relations, and so on. I've visited several similar programs on interpersonal communication while preparing my scholarly investigation. All materials provided by speakers are available in books or different website, so it's probably the 'summary' of all related literature, the core meaning that everyone should know. As for me, to be good at communication is to have a great experience of communication with different people. It's about practice, just for my perception of this issue. It's always good to develop, try something new and so on. If you have resources (time/money), attending such courses is beneficial. You can start getting your communication experience right here.
