CrystalAnne
My 8 year old is excited to do RSO Chem 1, but my 12 yr old likes the look of RSO Bio 2, or the more hands off Conceptual Integrated Science Explorations. I think he'd be better going through the labs of Bio 2, as he doesn't have much lab write up experience, but he'd also need a lot of hand holding. Is it too much on my plate trying to teach 2 levels/subjects of RSO? (I also have littles.). For what it's worth, 12 yr old has no interest in doing the Chem, though I know I could add on Ellen McHenry, etc. I'd like to try both RSO levels, and jump into Conceptual for 7/8, but I need a reality check on RSO Chem and Bio concurrently. NormaElle
I wouldn’t try to teach two levels unless you really have to. Unless you love teaching science, it can be hard to get it together to teach science twice. I would also suggest looking at the Bio sample to see if your 12 year old is really ready for it.
