Lord of the Rings Book Club Questions

I am helping to start a local homeschool book club for middle school aged kids. The kids would like to do the Hobbit and LOTR series this year. Do you have any suggestions on discussion questions or where to find good ones online? Thanks!

These are all free and online, and could be easily downloaded/printed. Enjoy your book club adventures!
 

The Hobbit:
- Houghton-Mifflin
    * free educator guide with questions
    * free lesson plans (chap. 1-7) with questions
    * free lesson plans (chap. 8-19) with questions
- E. McCabene: free questions by chapter
- Galesburg Library: Kids Discussion Club, free general/overview questions (once finished reading the book)
- Owlcation: Discussion Club, free general/overview questions + themed seed cake recipe (once finished reading the book)
- Campbell's English Class: free discussion questions, with very brief info on "the hero's cycle" (also called "the hero's quest" or "the hero's journey")


Lord of the Rings
- Houghton-Mifflin, free lesson plans, with questions
    * Fellowship of the Ring: book 1
    * Fellowship of the Ring: book 2
    * The Two Towers: book 3
    * The Two Towers: book 4
    * Return of the King: book 5
    * Return of the King: book 6
- Penguin: teacher guide: Fellowship of the Ring; The Two Towers; Return of the King -- questions by chapter
- Owlcation:
   * Fellowship of the Ring: free general/overview questions + themed blackberry scones recipe (once finished reading books 1 & 2)
