lulalu
I am needing some spring fun this year. Can we list ideas for elementary math fun, games, projects, and so forth? We are doing a lot of estimating this laat month. How many of my feet to the bathroom, how many skips from this building to the next kind of thing. Ds wants to make a board game and we will start that this week. We have a bunch of games we play often- Sleeping Queens, Zeus on the Loose, Shut the Box, Queendomino, tridominoes, tangrams We have also been writing music. Ds has enjoyed figuring out beats per measure. What are some things you do to bring math to life?

MomN
We love RightStart games like Corners (you can buy the RS games separately). I also like Kate Snow's math books (lots of games that solidify math facts). Money Bags, Loose Change, and lots of single-player logic games. Cooking can involve measuring with fractions. Or asking them to double a recipe.
lulalu
Started teaching ds to knit today. Our city is closed down for at least 3 weeks. We are going to need lots of projects. I figured knitting had enough applied math!
