HomeForNow
I just came across this and was wondering if it's any good, or at least a reasonable way of getting a course done. https://www.ucscout.org/planshttps://www.ucscout.org/courses The prices seem reasonable for a self-paced(?) no-teacher option. We're looking for content, not credit, though we may want courses to prepare for AP exams. We're not in CA and are not concerned with a-g designations. DoodleMom
Wow, I had no idea these existed! I have a homeschooled high schooler who is so math and engineering focused that he is going to need a strong tech degree. My husband and I are both U.C. grads and I have been wondering how to find courses for his last few years that will challenge him. He is doing some of the MIT Online materials, and most of his transcript will likely be measured by CLEP tests, but this looks really great! Thank you for sharing them! SoCal_Bear
there are threads about this on the Facebook group CA Homeschool College Seekers.

I came across this while searching for AP Physics C courses. I don't actually know anything about it apart from the UC Scout website, but thought it worth mentioning. I'd have to guess that if UC is "sponsoring" it, then it would have to at least be reasonable. 9 hours ago, calbear said: there are threads about this on the Facebook group CA Homeschool College Seekers. Thanks. I found that Facebook website, but I don't have Facebook, so I can't access any of it. What is their general impression of UC Scout? SoCal_Bear
There's a review from MarkT on the pinned online high school physics class from UC Scout. It's on the second page of that thread.

janie29
I cannot recommend UC Scout. Course material is not challenging and the instructor does the bare minimum in corrections and takes days to respond to any enquiry. Will definitely not take another course.
