rusugiru
The state of Michigan, where I live, has recently started being open to public school districts and homeschoolers working together to offer an innovative schooling option, consisting of a "fusion" of at-home, online, and group classes. For more info see: https://www.oxfordvirtualacademy.org/fusion. I am looking at starting a program like this in my area, where we already have a partnership (one of many in Michigan) between a local school district and the homeschooling community that currently offers elective classes only (see https://keweenawfamilydiscoverycenter.com/). I'd like to add core classes to the mix and am looking for suggestions for great curricula that might be easily adapted for this kind of use. The Michigan school district I know of that already offers this kind of program uses Bookshark for their curriculum for all subjects. I'm looking for something secular but am not convinced that Bookshark ticks the boxes in other respects. Our community tends toward a progressive, hands-on, real world approach to education. Any suggestions for curricula for one or more subject areas? Thanks in advance! (By the way, I hope that posting this question does not break any forum rules, given that it does concern publicly-funded schooling. I also hope that no one flames me for not being a "pure" homeschooler! :) )
