ProudGrandma
I am looking for a good online (self paced) course for my daughter to take to prep her for the ACT test. She has the Kaplan ACT prep book and has read through that....and has taken sample tests (but her average score is pretty low) and since she has responded well to online (self paced) school curriculums, I think something like this would help too. We can't afford a huge pricetag...unless there is no other option. But I don't even know what is out there...besides Kaplan and John Baylor. Are those the only 2 really good programs? She is currently taking Mr D math and he has a ACT prep class for math...but that doesn't cover anything else...and we need all subjects. What are our options? thanks . catz
We just used the online prep course ACT has last year. The boy here was pretty casual about it's use and went up a 4 composite in a year. That said, that might be a normal rise in a year also. He is going to do it one last time this spring. We have to test for homeschooling requirements anyway so he started the ACT in middle school. I'm actually considering spending a little more money now. He's in the range where another couple points could make a huge difference for merit dollars.
