Ethel Mertz Posted October 26, 2017 Share Posted October 26, 2017 We're moving to NC in December (Transylvania County). As we try to figure out options for our 9th grader, I have some questions: 1. Should he want to go to public school, would he have any trouble going in at the level he's at? I know in some areas, getting into high school can be difficult for homeschoolers (e.g., school officials insist kids start at 9th grade level no matter what homeschool level they are at). 2. At what age can he do DE? 3. If he doesn't want to go to public school, can he play on the local high school's golf team? (He could do so where we currently live.)
