Sub01
Hi! Wondering if anyone can help...I found a saxon math 2 set used for a great price but it's the 1st edition instead of the 3rd. Can I still use it even though it is older? Or will I miss out on updates? It's a really great deal so my frugal self wants to get it 😉
MotherGoose
I don't know if it matters in second grade, but if you plan to continue with Saxon you will find that the scope and sequence varies slightly among editions and you may find that your child is behind or ahead. I try to stick with one edition.
Rebel Yell
For second grade math it should be fine, but if it doesn't come with the worksheets you may have difficulty finding them, and to the best of my memory, they really are necessary for the course.
Sub01
Thanks! I bought it. It did come with the worksheets but not the meeting book so I'll need to get that but didn't think it would be too big of a deal. The publication date was 1994...
