Highereducation
Can you please tell me more about it? Either on this or through PM? Thanks! I was using a combination of approaches for my dd when I happened upon AO (divine intervention, I'm sure!). The booklist intrigued me, and I wanted to know more. The AO site is very informative; I'm sure even after a year of navigating it there are still many things I haven't seen! I read the Charlotte Mason series as recommended and found that there were many aspects of her approach that were exactly what I was looking for. We started Year 1 last February, joined the AO email lists and have been reading happily on! I do supplement the curriculum with some programs that are not on the recommended list, but for the most part I stick with the schedule. (I will humbly add here that Year 1, which we recently completed, was as much an education for me as it was for my dd!) I would be more than happy to answer any specific questions you have, if I'm able to! PM me if you like. Blessings, Kris
Jenn in Mo
Oh, Please don't PM! Well, I mean, PM if you want to, but please don't keep this interesting topic to yourselves! :D I am trying to fit more CM into our diets. It is not anything I have ever been exposed to, so it is a stretch. A Classical Education is also something I had not seen in action, but with TWTM and this board, I've made it happen. The very nature of CM is less "defined" and I need to see this in action to understand it better, I think.
