serendipitous journey
The Critical Thinking in US History series, recommended in 4th ed. TWTM and garnering accolades on the board, seems a worthy AND possibly time-consuming part of our history plan. Do you have ideas for planning this? There are 4 books x 29 lessons (it looks like 29 to me) each, and 116 lessons over 2 years will take some fitting in. Also: is it truly worth the time? thanks for ideas & suggestions! ETA: I do plan to have us read the West book "A Little History of the United States" as an American studies supplement, and perhaps read & discuss literature from Memoria Press' American Poetry and Short Stories (I find MP literature guides helpful, but want any writing to be along the lines of WTM literary analysis).
