Anyone use Rosetta Stone Latin?

I am wondering if it latin or Spanish. I noticed that when it says Latin it also says Spanish.

 

If it is latin I was wondering if it would work along side of Latin for Children.

I think there are two spanish editions- the Latin Spanish one and the "Spain" Spanish one. The pronunciations/vocabularly are a little different, and "Spain" Spanish has a formal plural tense that isn't used in Latin Spanish.

 

There is also Latin, but it is separate from the Spanish set.

I have the RS Latin Explorer CD. It is the ancient language of Latin and not Spanish. RS uses the classical pronunciation. I found it difficult to use when I was just learning the language, but now that we are doing Lingua Latina, I think I might get it out again.

We use Rosetta Stone Latin (the ancient language) and Rosetta Stone Spanish (Mexican not Castilian). There are two versions of Spanish but I only know of one version of Latin.

When I went to the Rosetta Stone website, clicked Homeschool and then Buy, I found this list of languages available.

 

 

On the right side of the list, the first one is Latin, the ancient language of the Romans that you're studying in LfC.

 

Downaways you see "Spanish (Latin American)." That means it's the type of Spanish taught in Latin America, the regions of North and South America that are populated mainly by people who speak French, Spanish and Portuguese. The Spanish language of South America is different from the Spanish language of Europe, thus the need for two programs.
