zibby3 Posted April 23, 2017 Share Posted April 23, 2017 I started using W&R mid-year this year. I started my 5th grader on book 4 and my 7th grader on book 7. That has worked well for us. I think you could start at a lower level and go through 3 books in a year if you wanted. And you can definitely skip things if you don't think your student needs that particular activity. Or some things can be done orally instead of written.
