Janie Grace
I made scalloped potatoes in my crockpot today for a gathering tomorrow. They will be served around noon. 1. Do I need to refrigerate them tonight or can they just sit in the crockpot overnight (off)? 2. Based on #1, how long would you put have them on low to be hot and ready to eat at noon? I can't put them on hot tomorrow because I'm really afraid of overcooking them. They took an hour shorter than the recipe said and have lots of brown around the edges. They smell a little burned. :(

Janie Grace
You do need to refrigerate them. Can you just microwave them tomorrow? That's what I would do. Huh. I never knew crockpots were microwave-safe. Or do you mean put them in another dish and microwave them? I don't want to move them because they'll be a mess (they are layered). ETA: I just looked this up (my brand specifically) and it is! Great idea. Edited April 16, 2017 by Janie Grace
