MeganW
Has anybody used both and can offer a comparison between JAG and Fix It? This would be for summer, to fill gaps for a kiddo who has struggled a bit. She has memorized a lot, but hasn't truly internalized grammatical concepts. We will be back to Shurley next school year, but I think she needs to see grammar from a different perspective for a bit. Also, if you used the JAG videos, how were they? Was the instructor reasonably engaging? Thanks!

rjand6more
I have used both. JAG without the videos. Actually, I used them concurrently this year. JAG and FIx IT! Book 2. I like them for different reasons. My DD is 6th grade. We will probably drop Fix It! next year and do AG only. JAG and AG are not as good at identifying clauses. And there is no sentence diagramming in Fix It! For a summer reinforcement, I would think JAG would be a better choice.
