rose
Do any of you Catholic or Orthodox mamas know of any good children's bibles that include the deuterocanonical books? I'd prefer one that was more thorough and in depth, like Hurlbut's Story of the Bible (it's playing in the background as I type). Special bonus points will be given out to anyone that can suggest a public domain version available on line. I'm itching to introduce my 5yo to Macabees but the full version just has too many names to keep track of. We've enjoyed listening to an audio version of Tobit. He's also just too young for the full version of Judith but I think that he'd like it.
serendipitous journey
Not public domain, and from the reviews see that the language annoys/offends some, but have you looked at the Catholic Children's Bible? it at least seems to have all the books of the Catholic canon.
