My experience was I kept trying because it's so *clearly* wonderful but there always ends up being stuff to skip because DS already has it down pat. Too much to make it worthwhile. It's on a long list of vintage books I'd love! to update for kids that have had typical-for-today prek-2 experiences.

My son just turned 6 and we've only used a Spaulding spinoff and copy work. Do you really think it's wonderful or were you being sarcastic?

Haha not sarcastic! It's really great. The whole series is!

 

See my oldest had gone through elfttc in k/1. Then on TOP of that, he was not at all ready to write with his hands at all untilllll.... Pending :)
