Prentice Hall Pre-Algebra

We used PH Algebra (2012 version) and overall I didn't like it. The explanations were great and it was easy to teach from, but the answer key had a ton of mistakes and the tests were super long and hard. I used the homework worksheets and had to routinely cut problems. Some of the worksheets had formatting errors.

After 8 chapters we switched back to Holt 2007 (Burger) which we had used for courses 1-3. The support materials are much better (tests with 20 problems instead of 40, review worksheets, etc). There are free videos online for the holt books too. If you go with Holt, you need the "Teacher One-Srop Planner" for the support materials. I get the student text and teacher's edition, and I teach from the TE and use it to grade homework.
