jkl
DS10 missed placing into CLE 5 by 10 points. He really struggled with the decimal and fraction sections and had a bit of trouble with the measurement conversions, but he did great on everything else. Should I get the 4th level and just speed him through the parts he already knows? I thought I read that the 1st light unit of each level will review the previous years topics and reference the lu that the topics were taught. Should I just buy lu 501 and see which of the 4th grade light units he should do? I'm confusing myself! Thanks for any help!
aaplank
I think that getting 501 is a good idea. You will know which lessons from the 4th grade light units to purchase so you can streamline your review. I do think that the 5th grade math is very meaty, even more so than 6th grade, so you definitely want to make sure that your son has enough review from the 4th grade material.
