mammaknits
I would love some feedback on curricula.... For my 8th grade daughter, I am looking at Lightning Literature. I am wondering if LL8 is enough for a year (it appears light to me) or if I should do LL7 and 8 in one year. We have done Sonlight in the past and she just does not love the selections and I was hoping to get more into textual analysis. That said, I am also wondering about continuing with WWS 2 along with it. Would LL8 (or LL7/8) plus WWS2 be a complete LA for 8th grade? Thank you!
coloradomomof5
Another option would be to choose a few books from SL and do novelties with them. I think we are going to go with LL and use SL or BUL as an additional reading list. My 9th grader is trying illuminating lit this year with a SL reading list.
mammaknits
She was doing some research online and likes the idea of doing LL8 and Brave Writer Boomerang next year for more fun, YA type reads. I'm liking her direction. If I do that I will definitely keep on with WWS2.
mc26
I will be using LL8 and Cover Story for 8th grade LA. We will skip some of the writing assignments in LL8.
