Sahamamama
Oldest daughter has been using Phonetic Zoo this year for spelling. It's a set of audio CDs with two narrators -- James Webster and Andrew Pudewa -- who read the words and then spell them. The other day, she weighed in on PZ. Me: Do you want to use PZ-C next year? Or Spelling Power? Her: I think I'll stick with PZ. It's easy, it's funny, and I laugh when I do it. Me: Funny? How so? Her: Well, one of the narrators (James Webster) sounds just like Pa Grape (from Veggie Tales), and the other guy (Andrew Pudewa) sounds like Chester Cricket (from A Cricket in Times Square).* So in my head I picture Pa Grape and Chester Cricket giving me my spelling words. :D * We have the audiobook read by Tony Shaloub. He does a wonderful job reading the book! Edited June 9, 2016 by Sahamamama
Sahamamama
Cute! As a side note, my 16yo son spent all day today in a writing session with Mr. Pudewa. In person? Nice. :)
