hands-on-mama
Hi all! I am trying to compile of list of age-appropriate books to go over the basics of early puberty and reproduction with my girls. It will mainly be for my 8 1/2 year old. I want to start this conversation now so hopefully it won't be so candid later. Any suggestions to put on my list? Misha
We really like "The Care and Keeping of You" also.
Upptacka
I agree with the above suggestions. I will also add "It's Not the Stork" -- my 8 year old had a lot of anatomy/reproduction/baby questions and curiosities this past winter, and I found this book satisfied her questions and covered things in an age appropriate way. My 5 year old has read it with me, too.
lindsey
"It's Not the Stork" is the one we have--mine are 8,6,4,2 and it's plenty of information. There are three in the series, each aimed at older kids.
