diaperjoys
We need to order our next Apples and Pears book, and the website is entirely different now. Last time, the book we needed was printed in the US and shipped to us from here. Now, it ships from the UK, and the fine print mentions that the book will have to go through customs, and I'll have to pay any customs fees. Does anyone have experience with this? What kind of fees are we talking about? I really like the program, but it already costs more than $40 per level, which is really high for a spelling book. Not sure I'm interested in adding more fees on top of that. Thanks
TheAttachedMama
Oh no! We are also going to have to order soon. I'm listening in. Although, we may be the first to have to go through this new process.
mellifera33
I just looked at the new site, and I noticed that after you are in the bookshop, there is a UK flag at the upper right hand side. If you click on it, there are other flags to click. If you click on the US flag, then choose your book, the description indicates that the book is print on demand in the US. :)
aufan
Are you sure that you selected USA at the top right? When I did that it says they are printed on demand in the US.
diaperjoys
Oops. I looked again at the fine print, and I've made a mistake. Looks like US orders are okay. So sorry about that! Orders for delivery outside of the UK, EU, USA and Australia may be subject to import duties and taxes.
pamela722
I know you found your answer but for those that order from the UK, there shouldn't be any import duties or taxes on textbooks from the US to the UK.
