Lots of traditional myths and tales from various nationalities translated into English for us. Of course when dealing with traditional stories like this, a lot of times they involve gender sterotyping such as helpless princesses that do nothing but are in constant need of rescuing or marrying. Especially with the lack of illustrated stories however, I think the best use of this source would be to read the story, make the protagonist a girl sometimes, modify it, and tell the story yourself.
