TyraTooters
I'm looking for a Human Body study for us to work on once or twice a week with some hands on things (but not too much!), books to read/look at, maybe a lap book here and there, and such. I would prefer it to pretty much be all laid out for me. Any suggestions?
mamajag
Elemental Science grammar stage Biology is mostly human anatomy with some animal and plant studies. There is a coordinated lap book available, as well. http://www.elementalscience.com

Incognito
This is a GREAT hands on thing to do with the kids. I have done it with a number of groups and just my kids and it is always insightful (and entertaining). http://rhondaalbom.hubpages.com/hub/make-poo You can do it along with a Let's Read and Find out book on digestion - we did that. http://www.amazon.com/Happens-Hamburger-Lets-Read-Find-Out-Science/dp/0064451836 The Let's Read and Find out series has a lot of good books to use as springboards for whatever topics you are interested in for the lower elementary level. SilverMoon
The recommendations in TWTM were a perfect fit mine. The my first encyclopedia and notebooking. Last time we added one of the Scholastic ebooks with a bunch of paper crafts.
BlessedMom
One fun thing we did was to use the My Body book . http://www.amazon.com/Body-Science-Books-Patty-Carratello/dp/1557342113 I purchased a roll of white butcher paper. We rolled it out on a flat surface and had each child lay on it and we traced their frame. Then we hung them on the wall and added the body parts as we studied them.
