Darryl Is A Boy (who lives in my closet) One of dd's friends is singing it for a music competition (friend is 14) and there's just something about it that makes me feel slightly twitchy. It's amusing, true, but I keep thinking, "Would it still be considered amusing if the genders of the two characters were switched?" Maybe it's amusing because it's the girl locking the boy in the closet and not vice versa? Please understand - I don't have a huge problem with the song. :) I was just trying to figure out why, when I heard it for the first time, there was a small part of me that flinched a bit and wondered what others thought.
