MotherGoose
Am I the only one wondering how they are using Adam Lanza's story to push to increase oversight in homeschooling? Lanza was in public school up until 8th grade. I would think a decent case could be made that his public schooling only made his behavioral problems worse, and that homeschooling was a last ditch attempt to help him.Of course if they'd only kept him in school full time and never homeschooled him at all this wouldn't have happened because he would have been under the watchful eye of the state the entire time. It was the homeschooling, not his preexisting mental health history, which apparently was lengthy, that triggered the behavior. *Note sarcasm directed at the state of CT, not DesertBlossom* :)
