Hunter
Another dumb question, if you can stand it. Okay, so I am dead-set on a 4 year science rotation, for better and worse. I'm trying to widen it a bit, though, so I can add public domain novels and living books to the science rotation instead of just the history rotation. And use science as a basis for interesting composition lessons. Year 1: Living Science Nature Study–especially trees, birds, and seasons Plants–especially plants that are useful to man Animals–especially animals that are useful to man Year 2: Earth and Space Star Myths Moon watching Famous astronomers Rocks and minerals–especially minerals that are useful to man Natural disasters Time/Seasons/Climate Year 3 Chemistry, Medicine, Oceanography Elements–especially elements that are useful to man Chemistry in the home History of medicine Nutrition Oceans–especially travel and uses to man Year 4 Physics, Inventions, Architecture, Maths If you do mostly read alouds or unit studies for science and follow a 4 year rotation, how do you organize topics to make it easier to find interesting literature?
