lunchlady
We've gotten an email and letter in the mail from Questbridge. www.questbridge.org Does anybody know about them? I think it's because DS got a high ACT score, but am not sure. But I don't know if our financials qualify us for this (but at the same time, we sure can't afford college). Can anybody tell us the results of using this service? And how they match you up with the colleges? Thanks, Lisa
langfam
DS got one too. His SAT scores were average for reading and writing, but high for math. DD, on the other hand, has excellent SAT scores all around, but didn't get notification. I can't figure it out.
Hathersage
If you earn under $60,000/yr you qualify on the money side of things. And students do not need an invitation from QuestBridge to apply!
Sandy in Indy
It's a limited list of schools that participates in the program....if I understood it correctly. Unfortunately, ds is headed for none of them.
periwinkle
Someone on this board had a ds who qualified for a full scholarship ride through Questbridge. I don't recall the name though...maybe she will show up?:001_smile:
lunchlady
Thank you for all the help. We're just past the financial cutoff, so I'm torn whether to spend the time on it just to see or not?? Lisa
Hathersage
These are the further financial considerations they make.... If you come from a household earning more than this amount but still feel that you have faced economic hardship, there is room on the application to explain your situation. Additional information about your household circumstances such as: Number of people in the household. The cost of living in your area. Other financial commitments, such as medical bills or support payments to family members outside the United States.
lunchlady
I think we'll go ahead and fill out the form and see what happens :) Lisa
